At the poker tables Roy is a winner of an unparalleled fifteen European Ranking tournaments with a host of near misses which are as equally impressive. They include a runners-up spot in both the World Heads-Up Championship and the Paris Open of Poker, plus a third-placed effort in the William Hill Grand Prix.

'Cashing' in three European Poker Tour events 'The Boy', as he is universally known, has final table finishes in approximately 50 notable tournaments around the globe and has landed two televised events including the Betfair Poker Masters of Europe.

His status as a serial tournament winner started when the Internet poker boom was dawning and the 39-year-old landed the first commercially sponsored televised poker tournament way back in January 2002.

As a newspaper columnist Roy has provided columns for the Sun, the Sportsman, the Racing Post and Scotland's Daily Record. He maintains columns in numerous trade publications.
